Sweden-France level 0-0 at halftime at Euro 2012

France was drawing 0-0 with Sweden at halftime of their final Group D game Tuesday, remaining on course for a spot in the quarterfinals at the European Championship.

France only needs a draw to guarantee a spot in the next round while Sweden is already eliminated.

However, it was Sweden that made the brighter start at Kiev's Olympic Stadium and had the best chance when Kim Kallstrom's long ball forward set striker Ola Toivonen clear on goal. Toivonen rounded the onrushing Hugo Lloris but his shot from a difficult angle hit the outside of the post.

Franck Ribery had France's best chance in the eighth minute when the ball fell to him on the left edge of the area but his shot was parried by goalkeeper Andreas Isaksson.
