Susic named new Bosnia coach
Bosnia-Herzegovina has appointed Safet Susic as its new football
coach, replacing Miroslav Blazevic.
Blazevic stepped down after Bosnia failed to qualify for next
year's World Cup in South Africa in a playoff against Portugal.
Susic, 54, was selected Tuesday by the Bosnian football
federation's executive committee in an unanimous decision. Other
candidates were Sergej Barbarez, Blaz Sliskovic and Ljupko
Petrovic.
Susic played for Sarajevo and Paris Saint-Germain, and had 21
goals in 54 games for the former Yugoslavia team. He has coached in
France, Turkey and Saudi Arabia.
