Siasia to sue Nigerian federation over dismissal

Former Nigeria coach Samson Siasia says he has filed a lawsuit against the country's football federation after being fired last week.

Siasia told The Associated Press on Wednesday that the suit accuses the Nigeria Football Federation of a breach of contract.

The federation fired Siasia and his coaching staff due to the team's failure to qualify for the African Cup of Nations. The organization hopes to announce a new coach soon.

The federation could not be immediately reached for comment.
