Sevilla players victims of robbery

Players and staff members of Spanish club Sevilla were victims of a robbery at their hotel in Colombia while it was playing a pre-season match against local team Atletico Nacional.

In a statement, the club said thieves entered hotel rooms on Tuesday and carried off entire suitcases that included documents, car keys and home keys.

A spokesman for hotel San Fernando Plaza de Medellin said Wednesday the stolen items included computers, electronic tablets, expensive watches and an undetermined amount of cash. The value of the stolen property could exceed $100,000.

Sevilla traveled Wednesday for a match against Ecuador club Barcelona.
