Celtic humiliated Aberdeen 9-0 to keep the pressure on defending champion Rangers in the Scottish Premier League on Saturday.
Gary Hooper and Anthony Stokes scored hat tricks, with the other goals coming from Joe Ledley, a penalty from Paddy McCourt and an own-goal by Josh Magennis.
Both teams had a player sent off. Aberdeen captain Paul Hartley was dismissed in the 26th minute, while Celtic's Thomas Rogne went just before halftime.
Celtic went two points ahead of Rangers, which plays St. Mirren on Sunday.
Also on Saturday, Motherwell strengthened its grip on third
place with a 2-1 win at Inverness, Dundee United went fourth with a
1-0 win over Hamilton, and Kilmarnock claimed a second successive
league win as St. Johnstone was defeated 3-0.
