Santos extends Greece coach contract by 2 years

Fernando Santos has agreed to be the Greece coach for two more years.

The Greek Football Association said on Friday that Santos, 57, will stay contracted through 2014, but gave no other details.

The Portuguese coach took over from Otto Rehhagel in 2010 after Greece was eliminated in the group stage of that year's World Cup in South Africa.

At this summer's European Championship, Greece will play co-host Poland in the opening match on June 8 in Warsaw, and faces Russia and the Czech Republic in Group A.
