Rovers swoop to sign Vukcevic

The 25-year-old's move is subject to clearance as he has yet to collect a visa and work permit, though it is hoped he will be available for Saturday's Premier League clash with Everton at Ewood Park. Rovers are understood to have paid Sporting Lisbon £2million for the services of 25-year-old Montenegro international Vukcevic. "Hopefully he'll be back in the country some time tomorrow," said Kean, whose side are at home to Sheffield Wednesday in a Carling Cup second-round tie on Wednesday evening. "It's going to be difficult for him to be involved in (the Carling Cup) game because he has not even trained with us. "But if he comes back with all the appropriate paperwork then he will train with us on Thursday and Friday in preparation for the Everton game." Kean added in the Lancashire Telegraph: "He is an exciting player. He can play wide left or wide right. He has good technical ability and is a very focused guy. "He is very serious about his football, and I think he will give us a totally different dimension."
