Reyes returns to Sevilla from Atletico Madrid

Sevilla says Jose Antonio Reyes is returning to the Andalucian club from Spanish league rival Atletico Madrid.

Sevilla says that the former Arsenal midfielder agreed to a 3 1/2-year deal that runs through the 2014-15 season. The Spanish club did not disclose the price of the transfer, which was reported to be ?3.5 million ($4.5 million) plus bonuses.

Reyes, who left Sevilla in 2004 in a deal that cost Arsenal ?30 million ($39 million), has found playing time waning this season after having helped Atletico to Europa League and European Super Cup triumphs in 2010.

The 28-year-old Reyes, a former Spain international who played for Real Madrid and Benfica, made nine appearances for Atletico this season.
