Real Madrid sends goalkeeper Lunin on loan to Leganes

MADRID (AP) — Real Madrid is loaning 19-year-old goalkeeper Andriy Lunin to Leganes until the end of the season.

Madrid signed the Ukrainian earlier this year but did not plan to use him in the main squad.

Keylor Navas has been the team's starter in goal even after the club signed Belgium goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois following the World Cup.

The other goalkeepers currently in the squad are Kiko Casilla and Luca Zidane, son of former Madrid player and coach Zinedine Zidane.

Leganes, based in Madrid's suburbs, is playing its third straight season in the first division.
