Raul Jimenez scored to get Benfica level with Bayern Munich

This might as well be the Year of Mexico in the UEFA Champions League. Between Chicharito's amazing season and Hector Herrera playing well, things are going pretty well. And now Raul Jimenez is getting in on the action.

The striker was handed a start for the second leg of Benfica's Champions League quarterfinal against Bayern Munich and 27 minutes in, he found the back of the net.

Sure, Manuel Neuer is helping things with his meandering goalkeeping, but it still took some bravery for Jimenez to put his head in there and a goal is a goal.

Benfica entered the match down 1-0 on aggregate, but Jimenez brought them all level. (Until Vidal scored for Bayern 11 minutes later.) Knocking Bayern out of the Champions League would be a monumental upset and Jimenez had them in position to do just that (Bayern answered this goal with one of their own to go back in front).

The Year of Mexico is so real. And Jimenez, as the last Mexican standing in the Champions League, isn't ready to let it end.
