Ramalho says he has reached deal to coach Santos

Four-time Brazilian league-winning coach Muricy Ramalho says he will take the job at Santos.

Ramalho says he reached an agreement with Santos' directors on Tuesday and will likely take over on Thursday, a day after the team's match against Colo Colo in the Copa Libertadores.

An official announcement is expected in the coming days.

Ramalho told local media that one of his demands before taking the job was the guarantee from Santos directors that the club will try to keep young sensations Neymar and Paulo Henrique Ganso.

Ramalho won four of the past five league titles - three with Sao Paulo and one with Fluminense last year.

He quit Fluminense after saying directors were unable to improve the club's conditions as promised.
