Rafael could be out for five weeks

Manchester United defender Rafael could be out for up to a month after injuring his hamstring in the Community Shield.

The full-back was forced off early during Sunday's 2-0 victory against Wigan at Wembley, and was replaced by Chris Smalling.

Rafael now thinks that he will be out of action until September.

When asked after the match about his injury, he said: "It's a hamstring, I could be out four, five weeks."

United boss David Moyes confirmed that the Brazilian will be sidelined and said: "Rafael has a bit of a hamstring injury."
