Pulis won't push boat out for JP

Reports have suggested Zaragoza want £6million for Pennant, who is currently on loan at the Britannia Stadium. Pulis is keen to keep the 27-year-old on a long-term basis - and the former Liverpool wideman has also confirmed he would be prepared to stay with the Potters after impressing during his time at the club. However, there are reports that Zaragoza want a sizeable fee for Pennant and that could scupper Stoke's prospects when the player's wages are also taken into account. Pulis understands the need to keep within a financial structure and would not expect chairman Peter Coates to put the club's long-term future at risk. "I would like Jermaine to stay, but we do have a structure at this club that the chairman and his family want to keep," said Pulis. "They have moved heaven and earth at times to get in players we've wanted, but there's no way we will put the club at risk financially. "If we can do it, brilliant. If we can't, we can't. "I think Jermaine would love to come and be a part of this club. It's just whether we can do the deal or not."
