Pulis open to Gudjohnsen offers
Stoke manager Tony Pulis admits he would be prepared to let Eidur Gudjohnsen move on if a suitable offer was made.
His arrival was greeted with excitement and optimism by the Britannia Stadium faithful, with the Iceland international a player of some pedigree.
Able to boast the likes of Chelsea and Barcelona on an impressive CV, it was expected that Gudjohnsen would have a key role to play for the Potters this term.
That has not been the case, though, with first-team opportunities proving to be severely limited.
He has been handed just five outings in the first half of the season, leaving him frustrated on the sidelines for long periods.
Pulis appreciates that the 32-year-old may want to look elsewhere during the January transfer window and insists he will not stand in his way if the right move materialises.
"If there's a deal you think is right for the club and the player thinks is right for him, then you get the deal done," said the Potters boss.
"If it's not, then you don't. Eidur has been unfortunate in that he hasn't had the game time he would've wanted.
"And with the bad weather of the past three weeks, he hasn't been able to play in the reserves.
"But he's come in on his days off and worked hard - he's just been unfortunate."
