PSG star Lavezzi hints at possible return to Napoli next season

Paris Saint-Germain attacker Ezequiel Lavezzi has opened the door to a potential return to Napoli.

After an impressive spell at San Lorenzo, Lavezzi enjoyed a five-year stay in Naples from 2007 until 2012 before joining PSG for a fee believed to be in the region of 26 million euros ($29.5 million).

Lavezzi has not always been a regular starter in Paris, but has won two Ligue 1 titles, two Super Cups and the Coupe de la Ligue in his two seasons in France.

And the Argentina international acknowledged that a return to the Stadio San Paolo could prove tempting in the wake of his side's 1-1 Champions League draw with Chelsea on Tuesday.

"Me paired with [Gonzalo] Higuain? Why not? I do miss Italy," he told Sky Italia.

"If I went back [to Italy], Napoli would be my first choice. We will have to see if I want to. I'm at PSG now, [but] at the end of the season we shall see what happens."

The 29-year-old has netted four goals in 18 Ligue 1 appearances so far this term.

Lavezzi has a contract with PSG until June 2016.
