Pompey hit with Premier League fine
Pompey have endured a turbulent campaign and entered administration in February. A nine-point deduction was confirmed last week to leave Pompey facing almost certain relegation, though the immediate future of the club looks more stable and administrator Andrew Andronikou is hoping to find a new buyer. And news has now emerged they must pay the Premier League a reported £1million fine. And the Premier League will not have to wait like most of the creditors as they will take it from the £6million TV money and other funds withheld from Pompey. "Portsmouth have been fined for a series of breaches of our rules and regulations during the course of this season," a spokesman said in The Sun.
