Pogrebnyak staying patient

Reading striker Pavel Pogrebnyak is favouring a patient approach to the summer transfer window, with his future still up in the air.

The Russia international only moved to the Madejski Stadium in 2012 and is tied to a long-term contract.

He was, however, to suffer relegation out of the Premier League with the Royals last season and is leaving the door open to a switch elsewhere.

Pogrebnyak admits he is no nearer to knowing where he will end up, but is prepared to bide his time and wait for opportunities to present themselves.

He told Sport-Express: "I'm in London at the moment. I'm back from my holiday. I was in Turkey with my family and I also spent a week in Moscow.

"I start training at Reading on Thursday, but so far I don't know what will happen.

"I have three years left on my contract, so we'll see what happens. I don't want to finish my career yet.

"I think the real moves in the English transfer market will start in the next couple of weeks."
