Players, coaches demand inquiry
Soccer players and managers say the field at Wembley is dangerous and they want an investigation.
Players repeatedly slipped during last weekend's FA Cup semifinals. The field has been reset 10 times since the stadium reopened in 2007.
Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp says the field is dangerous and must be replaced again. Players' union representative Gordon Taylor urges an investigation.
There are fears players could get hurt in the May 15 FA Cup final between Chelsea and Portsmouth and the May 24 exhibition game between England and Mexico leading to the World Cup.
The governing Football Association says it understands the frustrations. It adds that Wembley poses a ``unique challenge'' because it is a multipurpose stadium.
