Pilkington: I'm ready to play

The 23-year-old broke his leg and dislocated his ankle while playing for Huddersfield last season and has spent the last five months on the sidelines. But the forward has featured twice for the Canaries in pre-season and says he is recovered both physically and mentally following his horror injury. "It was a bad injury but I think it looked worse than what it actually was. It was only a twisted ankle kind of thing," Pilkington told the Eastern Daily Press. "I had an injury that was terrible to look at but it's only been five months to come back and there's no real psychological damage. I don't see any reason why I should be wary of it. "I'm just going to keep working hard on the training pitch - if I have to wait a couple more weeks then so be it, it's up to the gaffer. "I feel I've got some good playing time under my belt now. I'm not 100% fit but if the gaffer wants me to start (against Wigan) then I'm not going to say no."
