Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang Interested in Joining Real Madrid?

Gabonese striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has dominated the Bundesliga the past three seasons with his current German club Borussia Dortmund. Despite his large amount of success, Aubameyang has reiterated that he wants to leave Dortmund in the near future and join Real Madrid fulfilling a promise from his youth.

Both 90min.com and Marca have both reported in the past few days the desire of the star 27 year-old striker to move from Germany to Spain. The reason behind this being to fulfill a promise he made to his grandfather when he was younger to one day put on the white uniform and play for Los Blancos.

Rumors were swirling of the possibility of the deal happening prior to yesterday’s transfer deadline however that of course was unsuccessful. Aubameyang has already spoken with the front office with Borussia Dortmund saying that once his contract is near expiration he will want to move to the eleven time Champions League champions.

Talks have reportedly been held between the two clubs the past two weeks but the talks are just in their infancy however, signs are good that this deal will get done with Real Madrid’s higher ups being good friends with Dortmund’s president Reinhard Rauball and sporting director Michael Zorc.

While still playing for Dortmund, Aubameyang will look to make himself an even more enticing player worthy of Real Madrid signing and he has already done plenty of that the past few seasons. Following a 16 goal first season with the club, Aubameyang has only improved scoring 25 goals in 2014/2015 and an astounding 39 goals in all competition last season.

With Alvaro Morata back from Juventus and still with the talent of Karim Benzema at striker, now wouldn’t be the right time for Aubameyang to make the move over to Real Madrid however, in the near future this could be one of their best signings ever.
