Pep Guardiola is already throwing shade at the Premier League

Pep Guardiola's Premier League career is only a month old, but he's not too impressed so far.

Manchester City beat Bournemouth, 4-0, on Saturday and despite the complete and utter domination, Guardiola still thinks that the Cherries are better with the ball than anyone else he's seen so far.

Bournemouth have just four points from five matches and the Citizens absolutely obliterated them. Most everyone has them pegged to be in the relegation race. To be kind, they are not a good team. And yet Guardiola is out here praising them as the best attacking team he's seen so far.

Manchester City have played Manchester United this season, so it's not like they've only played cellar dwellers. Even West Ham were a top four contender a year ago, and City played them too. But Guardiola wasn't impressed. Not like Bournemouth impressed him.

Guardiola is an ideologue who likes the game to be played on the ground. He thinks movement and passing make for good play, with direct play or balls in the air pretty frowned upon. That's important to remember when he slams other teams for using the long ball.

Still, this is Bournemouth. And they've attacked better than anyone else? That's some serious shade, Pep.
