Pep Guardiola banned his players from using the internet on Man City grounds

Pablo Zabaleta has revealed how life is different Manchester City under Pep Guardiola. Perhaps the most curious change: no Wi-Fi for the players at City’s training ground.

As Zabaleta raved about the opportunity to work with 'one of the best coaches in the world,' he also shared some of the strict rule changes Guardiola implemented since taking over for Manuel Pellegrini.

“He forces us to have breakfast and lunch together at the club. The internet is cut off, we are held incommunicado. We don’t even use 3G,” Zabaleta told TyC Sports.

Guardiola is notorious to want full control over his players, and part of his goal seems to be improving team chemistry and communication.

So no social media for Kun Aguero & Co. No WhatsApp to connect with friends. No WebMD for Vincent Kompany. No Tinder for Raheem Sterling.

I would say Pep is taking things too far, but he's already banned his players from eating pizza so we probably should expect that City's stars cannot have anything that is good. A look at the Premier League table makes it hard to argue with his methods, though.
