Oyarzabal double helps Real Sociedad breeze past Granada
Real Sociedad made it eight goals in their last two matches as a 3-0 win at home to Granada moved them into the top 10 in the Primera Division.
Teenage midfielder Mikel Oyarzabal bagged a brace, with Cristian Jonathas also on the scoresheet in a comfortable victory against a Granada side who stay second from bottom.
The visitors started brightly and Geronimo Rulli did well to tip over a far-post header from Ricardo Costa in the 12th minute.
It was the home side who opened the scoring in the 21st minute when Oyarzabal collected a pass from Yuri Berchiche and slotted the ball through the goalkeeper's legs.
Clear-cut chances had been at a premium until the stroke of half-time when Real Sociedad doubled their advantage.
A superb curling cross from Carlos Vela picked out Brazilian Jonathas and the striker's controlled side-foot volley nestled in the bottom corner - his sixth goal of the season.
Sociedad started the second half well and Vela was unlucky to see a chipped effort drop inches past the upright.
Youssef El Arabi brought a save from Rulli from close range as Granada looked for a way back, but the home side added a third on the hour when Vela cut the ball back for Oyarzabal to side-foot home.
Granada substitute David Barral had an effort cleared off the line and David Lomban should have done better with a free header, while Diego Reyes fired wide with the goal gaping for Sociedad late on.
The visitors hit the crossbar twice in injury time as Fran Rico's free-kick crashed back to Ruben Rochina and his well-struck volley smashed against the woodwork.
