No rush over Ozil or Sanchez contracts, reveals Wenger
Arsene Wenger is confident Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil will commit their futures to Arsenal, but says the club are in no hurry to push their new contract deals through.
The Gunners have endured a disappointing run of form since the turn of the year, slipping out of contention for the Premier League title as well as exiting the FA Cup and Champions League.
They are not yet assured of Champions League qualification for next season with just four points separating them from fifth-placed Manchester United, leading to speculation Sanchez and Ozil could leave at the end of the season.
However, Wenger is more than confident the duo will remain at the Emirates Stadium for the foreseeable future.
"These two players have two years to go on their contracts at the end of the season," Wenger said.
"So that is why we are not in a hurry. The players are very keen to stay and we are talking."
Ozil signed a five-year deal when he joined from Real Madrid in 2013 while Sanchez signed a four-year deal from Barcelona in 2014.
