NKorea women's team to visit SKorea for tourney
North Korea will compete in the four-nation Women's East Asian Cup next month and play South Korea in soccer for the first time since 2009.
The South Korea Football Association says on its website that North Korea has agreed to participate, and the rivals are to play in Seoul on July 21.
The match comes after the Koreas scrapped what would have been their first high-level talks in years over a protocol dispute in early June. The Korean Peninsula is technically at war because the 1950-53 Korean War ended in a truce.
The competition runs from July 20-28 and includes China and Japan. In 2009, the North played a World Cup qualifier against South Korea in Seoul.
