Neymar calms transfer talk

Brazilian ace Neymar has once again moved to calm talk over his future amid growing speculation he is closing on a transfer to Barcelona.

The Santos star has long been linked with a move to Barca as one of a host of top European clubs monitoring the in-demand forward, with Chelsea, Manchester City and Real Madrid also thought to be keen.

Reports surfaced last week that Neymar's agents have met with Camp Nou representatives to negotiate a deal for the 21-year-old.

The Brazil international admits ongoing speculation linking him with the Primera Liga giants is flattering.

But Neymar, who is contracted at Santos until 2014, maintains he is happy at the Brazilian club and has reiterated he will decide on his future when the time is right.

He told Radio Globo: "Who isn't a fan of Barcelona? I'm happy, I'm thankful for the affection.

"I feel I'm the happiest guy in the world, regardless of this or that team wanting to sign me.

"I'm happy at the club I love. As I have always said, it's up to me and my family [to decide my future].

"When the moment is right, I'll tell everybody. But please stay calm."
