Napoli fans aren't pleased with Gonzalo Higuain's move to Juventus

Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain reportedly is on the verge of joining Juventus, and Napoli fans are none too pleased. With the Old Lady close to securing Higuain's signature, a handful of Napoli fans have resorted to one of the tired traditions: burning his jersey in protest.

It's not a good look, Napoli fans. Be frustrated, be angry, but be smart. That's money down the drain, and he hasn't even officially left yet! And even if he does leave, that anger can surely be channeled more effectively. For instance, you can bottle it all up and boo the absolute hell out of him when he returns to Stadio San Paolo.

Flushing Higuain bobbleheads down Juventus-labeled toilets and probably ruining your plumbing isn't the brightest idea. And speaking of bright, look at the bright side, Napoli fans: the reports indicate that Juve will pay the full £78 million buyout. You can do quite a bit of damage in the transfer market with that kind of cheddar.

Sport is a beautiful institution, but nothing is perfect. As the bard of our time, Bret Michaels, poetically said: "Every rose has its thorn." So while we're treated to the finer parts of sport most of the time, occasionally we stumble unto the thorny ridiculousness — and today's trip brought us to jersey burning.
