Nagelsmann to head Hoffenheim next season, will be youngest Bundesliga coach

FRANKFURT, Germany -- Julian Nagelsmann will be the youngest coach in the Bundesliga at 28 when he succeeds Huub Stevens at Hoffenheim next season.

On Monday, Stevens replaced Markus Gisdol, who was fired after Hoffenheim dropped to next-to-last place. Stevens signed a contract until the end of the season.

Hoffenheim said Tuesday that youth team coach Nagelsmann will get a contract until 2019. Stevens was also presented.

Nagelsmann is now coach of the club's youth side, which won the under-19 national title last year. He is still studying for his coaching diploma.
