Moore understands Lowe decision
Tranmere boss Ronnie Moore has moved to clarify the circumstances around his club's failed loan bid for MK Dons striker Ryan Lowe.
Conflicting reports emerged from both camps at the end of last week, with Rovers claiming a deal was agreed before the plug was pulled and Dons manager Karl Robinson refuting the idea that the move was set before accusing his counterpart of "mind games".
Moore said that Lowe's agent led him to believe a deal was close but he fully understands why Robinson would be reluctant to let the 34-year-old join the League One pacesetters.
"Well, they denied it at their end and, to be fair, I never spoke to Robbo - I haven't spoken to Robbo," Moore said. "But Lowey's agent phoned me last week and asked me if I would be interested.
"I said 'yeah', he then went back to them and apparently they'd agreed he could come to us, then all of a sudden it was 'no he can't come to us'.
"So at this present time I don't think that's ever going to happen. And I can understand why. If Robbo lets him come to us, he gets seven or eight goals for us and we're top of the league and they're trying to get there then it wouldn't look too good on him."
