Mexican League Wrap, Apr 22
Unam Pumas extended its lead at the top of the Mexican Clausura as it claimed a 1-0 win at 10-man Necaxa.
Pumas made the most of Everaldo Barbosa's 52nd minute red card for a reckless challenge on David Cabrera by grabbing a late winner through substitute Juan Carlos Cacho.
Oscar Garcia went on the outside of Ismael Gonzalez and crossed from the by-line for Cacho to head home three minutes from time.
Earlier, Dante Lopez had fired a penalty against the crossbar for the visiting side following a handball by Obed Rincon.
Martin Bravo twice hit the crossbar for the visiting team.
The win puts Pumas six points clear of Tigres Monterrey, although it has played a game more than its rivals.
Necaxa remain one place off the foot of the standings.
