Colombian defender Aquivaldo Mosquera scored in the third minute Sunday as America edged archrival Chivas 1-0 in the Mexican Apertura championship.
Mosquera's header off Pavel Pardo's cross lifted the Eagles to 25 points and the third best record in the tournament.
