Meier hat trick seals Frankfurt's 3-2 win over Wolfsburg

BERLIN (AP) Eintracht Frankfurt captain Alexander Meier scored in injury time to complete a hat trick and earn his side a 3-2 win over Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga on Sunday.

Dante shot the visitors into a deserved 25th-minute lead, but Meier equalized with a great finish in the 66th after Stefan Aigner laid the ball back.

Goalkeeper Diego Benaglio was helpless to stop Meier claiming his second seven minutes later, again set up by Aigner.

Andre Schuerrle thought he'd salvaged a draw when he struck in the 79th.

But there was still time for Frankfurt defender Makoto Hasebe to clear off the line in the 90th minute, before Meier lived up to his ''football god'' billing among fans by clinching the winner three minutes later.

Schalke was hosting Werder Bremen later Sunday.
