Martinez heads to Cluj

Juventus have allowed midfielder Jorge Martinez to join CFR Cluj on a season-long loan.

The Uruguay international has struggled to make an impact since signing for La Vecchia from Catania.

The 29-year-old agreed a four-year contract in 2010 but, after a disappointing debut season in Turin, he found himself on loan at Cesena for the 2011-12 campaign.

He will now assist the Romanian league champions in their title defence, with Cluj also facing Manchester United, Galatasaray and Braga in the group stages of the Champions League.
