Mario Goetze sidelined with minor injury

Borussia Dortmund says midfielder Mario Goetze will miss training for three days because of a groin strain.

The Bundesliga club said on its website Tuesday that the 19-year-old Goetze contracted the minor injury during Dortmund's 2-0 win at home over Nuremberg on Saturday.

Team doctor Markus Braun recommended a special rehabilitation program for the Germany international.

It's unclear whether Goetze will be fit for Dortmund's trip to Leverkusen in the league on Saturday.

Sven Bender also missed training Tuesday, due to a knee problem, but is expected to train again on Wednesday.
