Maradona sustains minor injuries in auto accident
A hospital official says former Argentina star and coach Diego Maradona sustained only minor injuries when his car and a bus collided on Monday.
An official of the security department for the province of Buenos Aires, who asked not to be identified, said the traffic accident occurred in the Buenos Aires suburb of Ezeiza where Maradona lives.
Dr. Oscar Sico, director of the Hospital de Ezeiza, said Maradona was in ''perfect condition'' and would be released from hospital. Officials said Maradona's partner, Veronica Ojeda, also had also sustained minor injuries.
The accident took place just hours before Argentina faced Costa Rica in a critical Copa America match.
