Mallorca pocket Fontas on loan

Real Mallorca have reached an agreement to sign Barcelona defender Andreu Fontas on loan for the remainder of the season.

The 22-year-old Fontas returned to action this summer following a seven-month lay-off after damaging cruciate knee ligaments in a Copa del Rey match against Osasuna in January.

A statement on Mallorca's website read: "The new Mallorca player will be presented today at 1300 (local time) after undergoing his medical."
