Malaysian player hits stupefying, Roberto Carlos-esque free kick

Puskas candidates come in all shapes and sizes.

Whether it's a mazy, lung-busting and dazzling solo effort from Lionel Messi or a divine and audacious half-field goal from Carli Lloyd, they're all special in their own way.

And, sometimes, they come from the unlikeliest of places.

Take Faiz Subri, for instance, who brought new meaning to the dipping, swerving and bending free kick on Tuesday, netting a jaw-dropping strike in Pulau Pinang's 4-1 victory over Pahang FC in the Malaysia Super League.

Stupefying.

Scientists and physicists have their work cut out for them if they are to explain how this ball found the back of the net, much like Roberto Carlos' iconic goal in the Tournoi de France in 1997.
