Maguire praises Long and Hill
Harry Maguire has lauded the displays of Matt Hill and George Long in Sheffield United's win over Leyton Orient on Saturday.
Defender Hill replaced the injured Neill Collins and helped the Blades keep a clean sheet.
Maguire told the club's official website: "With Collo forced to miss the game, me and Matt teamed up at the heart of the defence, we have played together before and I thought our partnership worked well.
"Matt plays a lot differently to Neill but they are both experienced professionals who have played at a higher level. Hilly always looks comfortable and he has excellent positional sense."
Manager Danny Wilson was forced into making a change just 11 minutes into the game, with goalkeeper Mark Howard succumbing to a thigh injury and having to be replaced by Long.
"George was fantastic and he has a bright future ahead of him," Maguire added. "He fitted straight into the game after Mark was taken off and made a great save from Kevin Lisbie. I played with George for a long time through the academy and if he retains his place I am sure he will perform admirably."
