Lopez transfers to Catania

Argentine striker Maxi Lopez has transferred to Catania.

The Sicilian club says it has received the transfer certificate for the former Barcelona player and that he would be available for Sunday's game with Udinese.

Lopez is coming off a loan stint with Gremio after signing a two-year deal with FC Moscow in 2007. He was with Barcelona from 2005-07.
