Liverpool fan names newborn son 'Dejan' after Dortmund heroics
Dejan Lovren was the toast of Merseyside on Thursday night. You probably heard.
With Liverpool down, 3-1, on the night to Borussia Dortmund in the second leg of their Europa League quarterfinal clash, shades of the Reds' 2005 Champions League triumph in Istanbul materialized at Anfield.
Philippe Coutinho and Mamadou Sakho kickstarted the miraculous three-goal comeback inside the final 25 minutes before the oft-criticized Lovren powered the Reds into the semifinals with a stoppage-time winner to send the Liverpool faithful into delirium.
And after watching the drama unfold from a hospital alongside his expectant wife, one overwhelmed supporter marked the occasion by calling in to BBC Five Live to deliver a special announcement.
