Leicester fight back at Stoke; Everton draw against Swansea
High-flying Leicester maintained their unbeaten start to the season as a second-half fightback secured them a 2-2 draw at Stoke, denying the Potters their first 2015-16 Barclays Premier League win.
The hosts had been firmly in control, taking the lead in the 13th minute when the fit-again Bojan Krkic - making his first league start in eight months - slotted home, before Jonathan Walters pounced on a Wes Morgan error to make it 2-0 seven minutes later.
But Leicester reduced the deficit in the 51st minute through Riyad Mahrez's penalty after Marko Arnautovic bundled over Danny Drinkwater and Jamie Vardy then notched the equaliser in the 69th, holding off Erik Pieters and scuffing a shot beyond Jack Butland.
A wasteful Everton side was held to a 0-0 draw by Swansea at the Liberty Stadium on Saturday, with striker Romelu Lukaku wasting a number of chances to give his team victory in the Premier League encounter.
Lukaku had a shot cleared off the line by Swansea defender Ashley Williams, after the Belgium striker reacted quickest to a deflected shot from Ross Barkley and beat goalkeeper Lukas Fabianski to the ball in the 58th minute.
Lukaku also blazed over the bar after being played through by Gareth Barry five minutes earlier.
Swansea went closest through a free kick from Gylfi Sigurdsson, which hit the side netting.
Everton's Kevin Mirallas was shown a straight red card for an aggressive sliding challenge on Modou Barrow in the last minute of the game.
Saido Berahino scored his first goal for West Bromwich Albion since threatening to go on strike as his team beat city rival Aston Villa 1-0 at Villa Park.
Berahino's outstretched foot turned in a shot by teammate Salomon Rondon in the 39th minute for West Brom's second win of the season.
Berahino said on Twitter he would not play for the club after failing to secure a move to Tottenham on transfer deadline day but returned to action in last week's 0-0 draw against Southampton.
Rondon nearly doubled the score for West Brom on 83 minutes, but United States goalkeeper Brad Guzan made an impressive diving save to his left to keep out the header.
Watford's Odion Ighalo piled the pressure on sorry Newcastle as his first-half double paved the way for a 2-1 victory at St James' Park.
The Nigeria international struck on 10 and 28 minutes as he took advantage of some pitiful defending to give the promoted Hornets what proved to be a decisive lead.
Daryl Janmaat reduced the deficit with a 67th-minute strike, the Magpies' first goal in 464 minutes of Barclays Premier League football, but it was not enough to rescue a point as they await their first win of the new campaign.
Bournemouth scored twice in the opening nine minutes to earn a 2-0 win over struggling Sunderland.
Callum Wilson netted his fifth league goal of the season with a low shot in the fourth minute and Matt Ritchie doubled the lead with a stunning volley from outside the area five minutes later as the promoted seaside club earned its second victory of the campaign.
Sunderland went down to 10 men when Younes Kaboul earned his second yellow card in the 74th, and the loss left Dick Advocaat's team in last place with just two points from six games.
Ritchie's goal was the highlight of the game and came after a corner as he downed a failed clearance on his chest and then hit a left-footed volley into the top corner.
