Late Wolves comeback vs Swansea prevents 6th loss

Wolverhampton Wanderers staged a late comeback Saturday, with two goals in two minutes salvaging a 2-2 draw against Swansea and preventing a sixth successive Premier League loss.

Kevin Doyle began the Wolves recovery with an 84th-minute strike after goalkeeper Michel Vorm parried Sam Vokes' shot.

And Doyle charged down the right flank before setting up Jamie O'Hara for the equalizer that could ease the pressure slightly on manager Mick McCarthy.

''We were as low as we could be to be honest at half time,'' Doyle said. ''We've lost five in a row and it looked like we were going to lose six, but we came back. It's a massive point for us. Everyone's high as a kite after being down in the dumps after 84 minutes.''

Danny Graham had put Swansea ahead in the 23rd, bringing down Mark Gower's pass and slotting beyond goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey.

After his third goal in as many games, the striker turned provider in the 35th, teeing up midfielder Joe Allen for an easy tap in to put promoted Swansea 2-0 up at half time.

''We controlled the game and let it slip through our fingers,'' Swansea winger Scott Sinclair said. ''We should have won. It's good that we got the first away point, but we're disappointed that we didn't get the three.''
