Kean hoping break helps crocks

By the under-fire Scot's own admission, the next six games represent a "massive period" in Rovers' season. Captain Chris Samba is likely to miss at least the start of that run after pulling a hamstring during the defeat to Chelsea, but the international break should give the likes of Scott Dann and Ryan Nelsen an opportunity to beat injuries. Kean told the Lancashire Evening Telegraph: "You always would like to go into the international break with something on the board and we feel as though we deserved that against Chelsea. "Having said that, Chris Samba has pulled his hamstring, Scott Dann is seven or eight days away and the break coming up helps players come back. "I will have a bit of time to have talks with the owners about the budget, but first and foremost we will concentrate on getting the lads back fit ahead of the vital games."
