Kashiwa widens lead in J-League
Naoya Kondo and Masato Kudo scored second-half goals Saturday as Kashiwa Reysol beat Albirex Niigata 3-0 to open up a three-point lead in the J-League standings.
Brazilian Jorge Wagner put Kashiwa up 1-0 in the 22nd minute and Kondo scored on a header midway through the second half. Kudo got his first goal of the season in the 80th minute as Kashiwa improved to 15 points from six games.
Vegalta Sendai is three points back after a 3-3 draw with Jubilo Iwata. Jubilo's Hidetaka Kanazono scored in injury time to salvage a point for the visitors.
