Jurgen Klopp still interested in Mahmoud Dahoud

Jurgen Klopp remains interested in bringing Mahmoud Dahoud to Liverpool

Despite not striking a deal this summer, Jurgen Klopp still wants to bring Mahmoud Dahoud to Anfield. Borussia Monchengladbach managed to hold on to their promising player this summer, but reports are suggesting Liverpool are ready to step up their offers.

There’s a surprising amount of information surfacing regarding Klopp’s interest in Dahoud. According the the Daily Express, Jurgen Klopp had scouts watch Dahoud during Gladbach’s game against Manchester City.

These reports by the Express also go on to say that Klopp is planning a £25 million bid for the player in January.

Despite Gladbach’s frustratingly good efforts to keep hold of Dahoud, these reports also suggest he’s now refusing to extend his contract with the German outfit. Dahoud also has a release clause of £8.3m that can be activated in 2017.

    It’s not all positive…

Now for the sad part. It’s also believe that Dahoud has attracted the attention of Italian giants – Juventus.

Could we really compete with the likes of Juventus? Funnily enough, I think we’re close to being at that point. Last season Juventus could have stolen any target we had, but now we’re looking very promising.

Jurgen Klopp’s impact is obvious, and we’ve been taking down bigger teams in our efforts to find success. Admittedly, we’re not their yet, but surely young, promising players like Dahoud might want to be a part of Klopp’s revolution.

Our season has started well, but we all know consistency can slip us up. If we continue to perform and impress, by January we could be in a spot that we can use to attract players.

Players like Dahoud will be far more interested if we manage to get into the top four by the time the window opens. Maybe then we can add some more talent to our team.
