Jose Mourinho slams Cristiano Ronaldo for acting like a coach during Euro 2016

What in the world did Cristiano Ronaldo do to make Jose Mourinho dislike him so much?

The new Manchester United manager hasn't been one lately to shy away from the opportunity to throw some shade at his former player, and the latest example came on Friday. Asked what he thought of injured Ronaldo playing the part of non-appointed assistant coach on the sidelines during the 2016 Euros final, the self-annointed Special One said Ronaldo "lost a little emotional control."

"Cristiano Ronaldo didn't help in any way by doing that in the final few minutes of the Euros final," Mourinho reportedly told a Portugal broadcaster. "There were 11 players on the pitch doing their job, and the person in charge of directing them was the coach.

"I saw it as an overload of emotion from someone who saw that the team was just minutes away from achieving an objective which everyone wanted."

The manager who is often criticized for parking the bus can't seem to stop throwing Ronaldo under it.

It clear the pair aren't the best of friends, even though there was always some mutual respect there. But just last month, Mourinho had a change of heart after once calling Ronaldo the best player ever and he instead put Ronaldo nemesis Lionel Messi at the top of the list, along with Pele and Diego Maradona.

Who knows why Mourinho has gone out of his way to throw shade at Ronaldo. Trying to understand the inner-workings of The Special One's mind is probably an exercise in futility.
