Jenas gutted to miss Milan mission
Spurs head to AC Milan on Tuesday for the first leg of their Champions League round of 16 first-leg clash. A glamour tie in Italy is eagerly anticipated around White Hart Lane, with the club's continental exploits this season having captured the imagination. Jenas, though, is among the unfortunate few who will play no part at the San Siro in midweek, with a suspension keeping him sidelined. "It's heartbreaking, but it's part of the game," the midfielder told Sky Sports News. "I've seen players miss World Cup finals and Champions League finals for a second yellow card, and I can't imagine what they were feeling. At least I'll hopefully be ready for the second leg." Spurs will arrive in Italy with no fear, having already shone in Milan once this season. A 4-3 defeat was suffered against reigning European champions Inter during the group stages, but a dramatic second-half fightback, led by Gareth Bale, has proved to Harry Redknapp's men that they are capable of mixing it with the best in the business. Jenas added: "A lot of teams know our capabilities and the top players that we have and how dangerous they are. They will be aware of that, in the same way that we are aware of theirs. "We have already been to Milan and it's an added bonus that we have been there and experienced the atmosphere. Nothing will be a shock to us. "The second-half performance from us was a catalyst for how we have gone on throughout the season. We went on a great run and I think that gave us the belief that we can pretty much do what we want if we put our minds to it and all work hard together. "In that second half we did that and we had Milan on the ropes for 45 minutes. If we had five more we might have taken a draw back."
