Inter's Cesar sidelined by thigh injury
Inter Milan says that goalkeeper Julio Cesar picked up a thigh strain in his side's 1-1 draw against Atalanta.
Italian media said he would be sidelined for up to a month with the injury, which led to him being substituted at half time during Wednesday night's game. A scan Thursday revealed the Brazilian had strained an adductor muscle in his left thigh.
A month's absence would rule him out of Inter's Serie A matches against Juventus, Genoa and Cagliari, as well as the Champions League games against Lille and Trabzonspor.
Julio Cesar could be back for the visit to Siena on Nov. 27.
Inter is currently 16th in the Serie A standings after taking just eight points from eight games.
