Ilunga linked with Monaco move

French paper L'Equipe confirmed that officials from the club were in talks with the Premier League side in a bid to bring the 28-year-old to the Principality. The left-back joined the Hammers on loan from Toulouse in 2008 before sealing a permanent switch to Upton Park a year later. The Congo international has lost his starting place under Avram Grant following the loan arrival of Wayne Bridge during January. Monaco are currently struggling in the French top tier, sitting two points from safety with just two wins in their last 10 games. A deadline day move for Ilunga would see the player in line for a start against former club Toulouse on February 6.
