Hunt hands Wolves fitness boost

Hunt is not ruling himself out of the clash at Aston Villa on March 19. But, if that comes to soon, then the Republic of Ireland international is hoping to return against Newcastle on April 2. Hunt has not featured since the 1-0 defeat against Stoke in the FA Cup on January 30. He said: "I'm back running again and hopefully within the next week I'll be back training. "After that it's up to the gaffer as to when I'm involved. I feel as fresh as a daisy now and am looking forward to being back. "If I'm not ready for Villa, then there's an international break and if I could get in that squad (against Macedonia) maybe I could get some game minutes there. "That would help me with Wolves as well but that's up to the international manager. "If I do get back for the last eight or nine games, I'll be hoping to make a good contribution and maybe even a few goals as well." Midfielder David Jones was back in training today after missing the 3-3- home draw with Tottenham on Sunday with a knee injury. It was further good news for Wolves boss Mick McCarthy after Adlene Guedioura returned to training earlier in the week after six months out with a broken leg.
